Abstract

 Traditional Chinese Medicine （TCM） clinical thinking is a thinking process established by TCM clinical practitioners in the process of medical practice， guided by TCM theory and on the premise of mastering clinical skills. TCM clinical thinking is the medium that connects TCM theory and clinical practice. The cultivation of TCM clinical thinking ability is the core and focus of TCM higher education， is an important part of clinical teaching， and is also an important goal of standardized training for TCM resident doctors. Establishing TCM thinking mode is of great significance for clinical doctors' disease diagnosis and treatment， as well as prescription and medication. This study systematically analyzes the diagnosis and treatment thinking mode of modern TCM from eight aspects： identifying the disease （adhering to the principle of dual diagnosis of TCM and Western medicine）， categorizing the disease （distinguishing whether the disease is an external infection disease or an internal injury disease）， determining the main symptom （the patient's chief complaint）， grasping the characteristics （collecting medical history around the main symptom and grasping the characteristics of the main symptom）， balancing the overall situation （clarifying whether there are other accompanying symptoms besides the main symptom）， identifying the symptoms （clarifying the main and secondary contradictions in the disease treatment process， as well as the main and secondary aspects of the contradictions）， knowing the prognosis （judge the outcome and prognosis of the disease）， looking back （returning to syndrome differentiation and treatment based on the patient's prognosis after treatment， and considering whether the previous syndrome differentiation analysis was complete and accurate）， and attaches one teaching case to provide reference and guidance for clinical teaching.
