Abstract: Objective: To investigate the efficacy and safety of amiodarone in the treatment of patients with acute critical disease and rapid arrhythmia. Methods: 120 cases of acute critical disease with arrhythmia in our hospital from June 2014 to June 2016 were collected and randomly divided into observation group and control group, 60 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were treated with deslanoside injection, while those in the observation group received amiodarone injection treatment. The overall effective rate, incidence of adverse reactions and cardiac function indexes of the patients were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group (93.33%) was significantly higher than that (68.33%) of the control group (P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group (16.67%) was significantly lower than the control group (43.33%, P<0.05). The cardiac function of the patients in the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Intravenous injection of amiodarone can be an effective and safe treatment to patients of acute and critical disease with rapid arrhythmia.
