Abstract: Objective： To evaluate the use of antimicrobial agents in diabetes complicated with infection under the intervention of endocrinology clinical pharmacists. Methods： After the collection of related patient records of June to December 2014 (before the intervention) and of June to December 2015 (after the intervention) respectively in department of endocrinology in our hospital， develop the questionnaire about the use of antimicrobial agents， mainly including gender， age， family history of diabetes， duration of disease， blood sugar control， diagnosis， infection diagnosis， antimicrobial agents name and intensity， dosage and days， the inspection rate of microbiological specimens， hospital stay， the cost of hospitalization， the cost of drugs and antimicrobial agents. The above datas were analyzed and compared. Results： After the use of antibiotics under the intervention of endocrinology clinical pharmacists， the cost of antibiotics in patients with diabetes complicated with infections decreased from 1，864.81 yuan to 1，300.25 yuan per capita； usage days of antibiotics decreased from 10.25d to 8.3d； the intensity of antimicrobial agents， 12.5DDD to 9.6DDD； hospital stay， an average of 18.25d to 14.27d； and the inspection rate of microbiological specimens increased from 42.5% to 80%.Conclusion： Clinical pharmacists participated in the use of antibiotics in department of endocrinology in patients with diabetes complicated with infections can improve the indexes and the rational use level of antibiotics.
