Abstract: Objective：To realize the awareness and satisfaction of patients for public welfare of public hospitals.Methods：365 patients were selected to have a questionnaire survey on the opinion of public hospitals′ public welfare，and the data was statistically analyzed by SPSS 21.0 software.Results：Patients did not understand public welfare of hospital well. Patients′ perception of public hospitals′ public welfare achievement were not ideal.The score of satisfaction was relatively high.The patients′ demands included mutual recognition of medical examinations，rational drug use and the use of basic drugs， information disclosure and shortening the waiting time.Conclusion：Public hospitals were demanded to shorten the waiting time， offering proper medical service， strengthening information disclosure， unblocking the channel of patients′ rights safeguarding and enrich public welfare reflected forms. It was demanded to strengthen publicity and supervision of public welfare of public hospitals； it was also demanded to adhere to the principle of unifying long-term benefits and short-term benefits to promote public hospitals′ public welfare.
