Abstract: Objective:To explore the clinical effect of virtual reality (VR) technology in routine gastroscopy. Methods: 64 patients who were given gastroscopy in our hospital were selected and randomly divided into study group(n=32) and control group(n=32).The control group was given routine nursing during gastroscopy, and the study group was given VR technology intenrention during gastroscopy. The satisfaction degree of patients, success rate of gastroscopy and the incidence of somatization adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:There were no statistical significance in success rate of gastroscopy between the two groups(100% vs 93.75%, P>0.05). The satisfaction degree of the study group(62.5%) was significantly higher than that of the control group(31.25%) (P<0.05). The incidence of somatization adverse reaction in study group was significantly lower than that of the control group(28.13% vs 78.13%, P<0.05). Conclusion:VR technology intervention during gastroscopy can effectively improve the satisfaction of patients, and significantly improve the incidence rate of somatization adverse reactions.
