Abstract: Objective： To investigate the clinical efficacy of ginkgo leaf tablets combined with simvastatin in the treatment of carotid atherosclerosis. Methods： 72 patients consistent with the standard were divided into the treatment group and the control group， 36 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were given simvastatin， and patients in the treatment group were given ginkgo leaf tablets combined with simvastatin， for 10 months respectively. The related indicators were observed. Results： After treatment， the total cholesterol (TC)， triglyceride (TG)， low density lipoprotein (LDL)， c-reactive protein (CRP) of the two groups of patients dropped significantly（P<0.05）， and the high-density lipoprotein (HDL) increased significantly（P<0.05）. The indicators of the treatment group improved more obviously than those of the control group， and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion： The application of ginkgo leaf tablets combined with simvastatin in the treatment of carotid atherosclerosis can better improve the indicators.
