Abstract: Primary liver cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors of the digestive tract. PLC is still the third leading cause of cancer death worldwide because it is not easily diagnosed early and the disease progresses rapidly. The incidence of PLC is still on the rise in China. Its invasion and metastasis have become the key factors leading to poor treatment of liver cancer patients. At present， western medicine mainly use hepatectomy，liver transplantation，interventional therapy， radiotherapy， ablation therapy，drug therapy，and biological immunity in the treatment of PLC. It is still unclear about the complex pathogenesis and clinical treatment of PLC. There are still numerous shortcomings and many huge challenges. Supplementing qi， detoxifying and eliminating stasis throughout the treatment of PLC have significant effect in controlling the growth rate of tumors， alleviating symptom， boosting immunity and prolonging survival.This article is based on the theory of supplementing qi， detoxification and eliminating stasis， analyzing the pathogenesis， therapeutic method and prescriptions，and then summarizes the advantages of supplementing qi， detoxifying and eliminating stasis to prevent and treat PLC.
