Abstract: Objective：To investigate the necessity and normalization of nutritional support treatment in department of general surgery patients of our hospital. Methods：Investigated the postoperative nutritional support of patients in department of general surgery during the fourth quarter of 2016， including the proportion of use of various nutrients， the combination use of drugs and the route of administration. Results：The percentage of vitamin usage was 81.55%， the percentage of alanyl glutamine usage was 38.63%， the proportion of combination use of three major nutrients was 9.01%， and the proportion of enteral nutrition and parenteral nutrition was 1∶30. Conclusion：Department of general surgery physicians can realize the importance of nutritional support， postoperative nutritional support of the patient is relatively common and many nutrients have been used， but there still exists lacking of standardization in using of nutrients， such as the imbalance of enteral nutrition and parenteral nutrition， the unreasonable use of alanyl glutamine， all of these need further enhance learning.
