Abstract: Seman Platycladi is one of the common traditional Chinese medicine， the adulterants of which are always found in market. In this paper， the original plant morphology (especially fruit and seed)， origin processing methods，characteristics and other aspects of Seman Platycladi were studied.The results indicated that adulterated products currently existing on the market may be produced by oxidation and other fading treatment.This method provides the data basis for further quality control.
