Abstract: bjective： To explore the effectiveness of applying Activity Based Classification combined with purchase restriction method in optimizing drug inventory agement. Methods： Activity Based Classification combined with purchase restriction method was used in the drug inventory management in our hospital since 2018， and the management indicators of drug inventory management in 2017 and 2018 were analyzed and compared. Results and Conclusion： After Activity Based Classification combined with purchase restriction method was implemented， the drug proportion exclusive of Traditional Chinese Medicine decoction pieces of our hospital in 2018 was 29.62%， which was significantly lower than 33.75% in 2017. The indicators of drug inventory management have improved significantly， suggesting the proposed method could be promoted practically.
