Abstract: Professor Sun Weifen has been engaged in the clinical research of malignant tumors for a long time and accumulated a lot of experience. He believes that the pathogenesis of malignant tumors is due to the damage of healthy Qi and the weakness of Yang Qi. Combined with many internal and external factors， the pathological products such as blood stasis and phlegm dampness combine with each other and form tumors. Under the guidance of the theory of “holistic view” and “treatment based on syndrome differentiation” of traditional Chinese medicine， professor Sun puts “treat five zang organs simultaneously， pay attention to spleen and kidney， regulate Yin and Yang， especially protect Yang， and aim for balance as the basic principle in the treatment of the disease. He advocates the combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine， learning from and complementing each other， and has achieved good clinical effect. This study summarized the pathogenesis of malignant tumor and the therapeutic characteristics of professor Sun Weifen， in order to provide reference for the treatment of malignant tumor with integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine.
