Abstract: Objective：To investigate the clinical effect of gualou xiebai banxia decoction on patients with stable angina pectoris of coronary heart disease with the syndrome of phlegm obstruction. Methods：60 stable angina pectoris patients with the syndrome of phlegm obstruction were selected and divided into the control group and the treatment group according to random number table. The control group was treated with western medicine and the treatment group was treated with gualou xiebai banxia decoction on the basis of the control group. Both groups were treated for a period of 4 weeks. The SAQ score， TCM syndrome score， blood lipid， MHR， CRP level and hemorheology index of the two groups of patients were observed before and after treatment. Results：After treatment， the SAQ scores of patients in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group， the scores of TCM syndrome were lower than the control group， the levels of TC， TG， LDL-C were lower than those in the control group， and the level of HDL-C was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05) . The levels of MHR and CRP of patients in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). The levels of fibrinogen， plasma viscosity and whole blood viscosity of patients in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion：For patients with stable angina pectoris with the syndrome of phlegm obstruction， the treatment of conventional western medicine combined with gualou xiebai banxia decoction can help regulate blood lipid metabolism， reduce inflammatory reaction， improve hemorheology level and symptoms， improve the clinical efficacy.
