Abstract: In recent years， communication technologies represented by 5G and digital technologies represented by IoT， AI， blockchain， cloud computing， and big data (“IABCD”) have developed rapidly. The digital economy has become an important driving force for global economic growth in the 21st century. In China， relevant policies on the digital economy and digital transformation are also constantly emerging. The medical device industry in China is booming， with a huge market size and has become the world′s second largest market. Meanwhile， the characteristics and pain points of the industry are increasingly prominent. Therefore， this study summarizes the relevant policies of digital economy and digital transformation， the development situation， challenges and opportunities faced by China′s medical device industry， and combines the development characteristics of the medical device industry to propose innovative models and entry points for the digital transformation of the medical device industry in the digital economy era， in order to provide reference for promoting the digital transformation of the medical device industry.
