Abstract: Objective：To establish a method for microbial limit test of honeysuckle.Methods: A total of 3 kinds of methods， including routine method， solution dilution method， and direct inoculate method were adopted for the development of microbial limit test methodology of honeysuckle. Results: The results showed that the recovery rate of Staphylococcus aureus did not meet the requirements of Chinese Pharmacopoeia when the routine method was used to test the aerobic bacteria count and the thermoduric bacteria count. The recovery rates of Staphylococcus aureus were 45.0%， 31.1%， 23.3%， 39.5%， 31.1%， 25.6% .When the sample solution was diluted to 100 times， the recovery rates of Staphylococcus aureus were 114.4%， 62.2%， 82.2%， 97.8%， 57.8%， 74.4%，which met the requirements of Chinese Pharmacopoeia. When routine method was used to test the total number of mold and yeast， all the recovery rate met the requirements of Chinese Pharmacopoeia. When the direct inoculate method was used to test the control bacteria， all the positive bacteria could be detected. Conclusion：In the microbial limit test of honeysuckle, solution dilution method can be used to test the aerobic bacteria count and the thermoduric bacteria count, routine method can be used to test the total number of mold and yeast and direct inoculate method can be used to test the control bacteria in honeysuckle.
