Abstract: Objective： To provide reference for the establishment of the long-term mechanism of the recycling of family expired drugs by investigating and analyzing the current situation of the recycling of family expired drugs in Zhengzhou. Methods： A questionnaire survey was conducted among the residents in Zhengzhou in terms of the knowledge， attitude， behavior and suggestions on the recycling of family expired drugs. Results： A total of 292 valid questionnaires were collected with the effective recovery rate of 100％. The data showed that the phenomenon of family drug storage was common， but the disposal of expired drugs was arbitrary， and the residents lack the knowledge and awareness of recycling expired drugs. Strengthening science popularization， the accessibility of recycling and the openness and transparency of the recycling process are the three main influencing factors to promote the recycling of expired drugs. Conclusion： It is suggested that the relevant departments should establish a long-term effective mechanism to promote the recycling of expired drugs， strengthen the development and publicity of recycling activities， reasonably set up collection points， and optimize the process， to promote the convenience， standardization and transparency of family expired drugs recycling.
