Abstract:

Objective： To explore the clinical application value of the xingnao kaiqiao acupuncture combined with hemiplegia rehabilitation training on patients with post-stroke cognitive impairment （PSCI）， and its impact on patients' limb function， aiming to provide reference for the clinical treatment of PSCI.Methods： A total of 98 patients with PSCI in our hospital from January 2022 to January 2024 were selected and randomly divided into the experimental group （n=49） and the control group （n=49） using the envelope randomization method. Patients in the control group received hemiplegia rehabilitation training， and patients in the experimental group received xingnao kaiqiao acupuncture combined with hemiplegia rehabilitation training. The clinical efficacy， activities of daily living （ADL） ability， limb function， cognitive function， and serum neurotrophic factor levels were compared between the two groups of patients.Results： The treatment efficacy rate of the experimental group was 93.88%， which was higher than that of the control group （79.59%） （P<0.05）. After 4 weeks of treatment， both groups showed improvements in ADL ability （Barthel index）， limb function （Carroll score）， modified Montreal cognitive assessment （MoCA） score， and neurobehavioral cognitive status examination （NCSE） score compared to those before treatment （P<0.05）， and these indicators were higher in the experimental group than in the control group （P<0.05）. The serum brain-derived neurotrophic factor （BDNF） and nerve growth factor （NGF） levels of patients in both groups increased compared to those before treatment （P<0.05）， and the serum BDNF and NGF levels of patients in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group （P<0.05）.Conclusion： Xingnao kaiqiao acupuncture combined with hemiplegia rehabilitation training has significant efficacy in treating PSCI， which can help to improve patients' cognitive function， regulate neurotrophic factor levels， enhance ADL ability， and promote limb function recovery.
