Abstract: Objective：To observe the effect of mouse nerve growth factor combined with mecobalamine on vision and visual field defect in patients with optic neuritis， and to provide new ideas for treatment of optic neuritis. Methods： 104 patients with optic neuritis in our hospital from May 2018 to June 2019 were divided into the control group and the observation group by random number table， with 52 cases in each group. The two groups received routine treatment， and on this basis， the control group was given mouse nerve growth factor， and the observation group was treated with mouse nerve growth factor combined with mecobalamine. The vision， visual field defect， visual function， visual evoked potential (VEP) and adverse drug reactions in the two groups were observed. Results：After treatment， the vision and visual function index in the two groups were higher than those before treatment， the visual field defect value was lower than that before treatment， and the observation group improved more significantly (P<0.05). After treatment， the P100 wave latency of the two groups was lower than that before treatment， the amplitude was higher than that before treatment， and the observation group improved more significantly (P<0.05). There was no statistical difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion：Mouse nerve growth factor combined with mecobalamine in the treatment of patients with optic neuritis can increase vision， decrease visual field defect， improve VEP， promote recovery of visual function， and without increaseing severe adverse reactions， which has certain safety.
