Abstract: ince COVID-19 outbroke in December 2019, the traditional Chinese medicine（TCM） has developed its unique advantages in the epidemic prevention and control. Qingfei paidu decoction is a new prescription derived from Treatise on Cold Pathogenic and Miscellaneous Diseases, combined maxing shigan decoction, shegan mahuang decoction, xiaochaihu decoction and wuling powder. It has the effects of sweating, relieving asthma, regulating ying and wei, reconciling shaoyang, invigorating the spleen and removing dampness, clearing away heat and detoxification, and helping to produce saliva. It has shown good therapeutic effect in the treatment of COVID-19. In this paper, we analyzed qingfei paidu decoction from the TCM theory, formulation composition TCM clinical research and modern pharmacology mechanism, and hope to provide some enlightenment for the future clinical treatment, drug research and development and basic medical research.
