Abstract: At present， abortion in China shows a trend of low age， unmarried and infertile， and high rate of repeated abortion. The irreversible damage to the endometrium caused by abortion can easily lead to uterine adhesions，t hin endometrium and pelvic inflammatory disease， which can manifest as menstrual disorders， lower abdominal pain， infertility and recurrent miscarriage， and seriously affect women′s physical and mental health. Preventing and treating endometrial injury after induced abortion is particularly important in protecting female fertility. The mechanism of endometrial injury and repair after abortion is complex， and modern medicine has no definite means to repair the damaged endometrium， and currently the main clinical treatment is estrogen and progesterone drugs，but there are limitations and adverse reactions. Chinese medicine is based on the concept of “preventin of disease”， using a holistic view and the idea of discriminatory treatment， which reflects the advantages of Chinese medicine in preventing and treating endometrial injury after abortion， which has no obvious side effects and has stable long-term efficacy. Therefore， this study elaborated from two aspects， namely， etiology and mechanism， and traditional Chinese medicine treatment， in order to better apply traditional Chinese medicine treatment for the prevention and treatment of endometrial injury after abortion in clinical practice.
