Abstract: The development of the new era， new business forms and new technologies have put forward higher requirements for the ability and quality of licensed pharmacists. According to the practice situation of licensed pharmacists in our country， the mismatch between licensed pharmacists′ professional quality and the increasing demands of the public for rational drug use and the problem of weak professional ability of licensed pharmacists are still prominent. This study sorts out the relevant regulations on the ability improvement of licensed pharmacists， analyzes the current situation， existing problems and its reasons of the team of licensed pharmacists， and puts forward suggestions to advance the legislation process of licensed pharmacists，and raise the threshold of entrance examination， formulate standards and norms， to advocate the sustained professional development of licensed pharmacists， carry out researches on new business forms， and enhance the core professional competence of licensed pharmacists， in order to provide reference for enhancing the professional quality and practice ability of licensed pharmacists.
