Abstract: 【ABSTRACT】 Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of ultrasound-guided needle-knife therapy combined with hypertonic glucose injection in the treatment of adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder. Methods A total of 80 patients with adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder were randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group, with 40 patients in each group. Objective： To observe the clinical efficacy of ultrasound-guided needle-knife therapy combined with hypertonic glucose injection in the treatment of adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder.Methods： A total of 80 patients with adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder were randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group， with 40 patients in each group. Both groups were treated with hypertonic glucose injection in articular cavity. The control group was treated with traditional needle-knife therapy， and the experimental group was treated with ultrasonic-guided needle-knife therapy. The course of treatment was once a week， with a total of 4 courses. After treatment， the degree of shoulder pain， overall function， and range of motion were assessed using the constant-murley score （CMS）， visual analog scale （VAS）， and passive range of motion of shoulder. The clinical efficacy and safety of both groups were evaluated.Results： After treatment， the clinical efficacy of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group （P<0.05）. Both groups showed reductions in VAS scores after treatment （P<0.05）， with a more pronounced decrease in the experimental group （P<0.05）. CMS scores increased in both groups after treatment （P<0.05）， with a greater increase in the experimental group （P<0.05）. The range of shoulder motion expanded in both groups after treatment （P<0.05）， with the experimental group showing a greater increase than the control group （P<0.05）. No significant adverse events occurred in either group.Conclusion： Ultrasound-guided needle-knife therapy combined with hypertonic glucose injection significantly reduces shoulder pain， improves shoulder function， and expands the range of shoulder motion in patients with adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder， and the treatment is safe and effective.
